MY STORY

I'm Constance, the founder, chief troubleshooter, and sometimes tech therapist at TechTonic.

Originally from Lafayette, LA, and now based in Baton Rouge, I've always been captivated by the complexities of technology. Since child hood, I've been my family and friend's tech troubleshooter, always ready to solve any gadget-related conundrum. Whether it was setting up new devices, tackling software glitches, burning CDs from Napster, or even jailbreaking the neighborhood iPhones, my knack for navigating technology made me the go-to person. This early exposure not only fueled my passion for technology but also honed my problem-solving skills, laying the groundwork for what would eventually become TechTonic.

While exploring my degree options at Louisiana State University, I briefly ventured off to New York to attend NYU and intern at Donna Karan International in marketing and sales. Despite loving the big city experience, I returned to graduate from LSU with degrees in Business and Apparel Merchandising and soon found myself in Dallas, unexpectedly diving into the Oil and Gas industry. My journey eventually brought me back to Baton Rouge where I pursued a Computer Science degree at LSU, working part-time at an architecture firm and Mint, an interior design firm.

My tenure at Mint turned full-time, allowing me to indulge another childhood passion: home building and design. I honed my technical skills, teaching myself AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other design softwares to enhance our projects. Also taking over the firm's social media account, I leveraged my tech savvy in a burgeoning side hustle for a few other businesses, which grew alongside my responsibilities. Though my career path was diverse, one constant remained—my innate knack for navigating and mastering technology. These diverse experiences, from technology to design, fueled my passion and expertise, culminating in the creation of TechTonic.
